In the old days someone came to a dance during the worldcon with a costume inspired by the movie “The day the Earth stood still”.  It was the first occurrence of a costumed participant.  Somebody said to him at this time : I’m afraid it will catch.  There is a mascarade and costumed people since then.  My picture are not very good because of the number of people in the room.  If you have the chance to go to a worldcon one day, you must attend to the mascarade at least once.

Devin Harrigan had one day to much time on his hands and some cardboard left.  Looking for something to do he started making props with cardboard.  We were very surprised about the end results of his work. He taught us some techniques using cardboard and hot glue to build almost anything.  His books are a must for any serious cos-player.  It’s a low cost solution to prop making.

We tried to assist to “Sf  reader to economist” from Paul Krugman.  The room was crowded and it was too much a biography for my taste (first picture).  We have gone to the autograph session of Guy Gavriel Kay instead and had a good look at the art exhibition. We do not have pictures of the art exhibition.  We wish to respect their rights and I think you can find the list of the artists in the convention guide on the Anticipation site.

OtakuCon is ending today. But we have been fortunate! We managed to snap a picture from 2 guys this morning while they where waiting for the bus. They even made a little show for us. Hope you like it! Don’t forget to support your local Otaku community.
